Hermit Crab $7.00

Use the hermit
crab finger puppet to illustrate the following object lessons.
The hermit crab does not have the
ability to grow a shell so he must borrow shells from other marine
animals. The shell is very important to him. Whenever a predator swims
past he hides in his shell. That shell is his protection. He hides
because he is afraid of being caught.
Have you ever done something you should
not have done and then tried to hide it? Maybe you borrowed your sister's
blouse and got spaghetti stain on it. Or maybe you told a lie and had to
tell another one to cover it. You were hiding your sin like the
hermit crab hides in the shell. Maybe you were afraid that was the only
safe thing to do. Hide your sin. The Bible says that if we try to
hide our sins we will not prosper. The Bible says we must confess our
sins, bring them out in the open, expose them to God. When you confess and
forsake your sins then you will receive God's mercy.
