Elizabeth Groo from Forth Worth, Texas
shared a great idea with me recently at a conference. When a child has a
birthday in her Children’s Church, she will go to their home and do a
program. She brings her puppets, dresses as a clown and puts on an entire
evangelist program for all the child’s friends.
The un-churched children hear the gospel and she has an opportunity
to show her love to the birthday child. Great combination! Nursing
Home Ideas I
hope you won’t forget the nursing homes and hospital, this holiday season.
It is amazing how open people are to the gospel during the holidays. You can
bring incredible joy by just showing up and talking to them. You don’t
need a big program; a simple devotion or an effective tract to share with
them is fine. The mice in the box would also be great for you to use as you
walk around in the nursing home and hospital. Unlike a stage that has to be
set up and taken down, this can be carried in your hand as a quick attention
getter. You will be giving the plan of salvation in a memorable way. Or
maybe you want to use the Gospel Nut. It is a walnut shell with a ribbon
like the wordless book. The sheep dog is another nursing home favorite. It
looks so real and it is so soft, plus it is on sale! Click
